The East Toronto Latvian Lutheran congregation has worshipped at St. Barnabas for over 50 years. Truly God has been merciful to our people and has given this church as a refuge and strength. We are truly thankful to St. Barnabas parish.

We hold services here twice a month. During the summer months we gather for one service in July and one in August.The other summer services are held at Talava, our church’s rural property.

We have a number of active committees. Our dedicated church council is led by the committed chairman of our congregation, Valdis Tikins. Our ladies committee, always actively involved in both mission and the social aspects of our ministry is led by Jana Kopmane.

One of our goals to attract new members to our congregation, trusting in the help of God who has been always present and involved with the world wide Christian community – our brothers and sisters in Christ.

In the coming year we are looking forward to celebrating God’s love with the people of St. Barnabas in their 150th anniversary.
